The city councilor of the town of Kreminna, Volodymyr Struk, was kidnapped from his home and killed on the way to Dnipropetrovsk, one hour away from Kreminna. Mr. Struk, who was sworn into office last year, was shot dead on the sixth day following his kidnapping. The mayor’s family reports that Mr. Struk was taken from his home at around 5 a.m., beaten, and came home in a terrible state with multiple gunshot wounds.
