Shooting At Thomas Jefferson High School In San Antonio Today
The shooting was said to have occurred on the 20th of September 2022, after the police arrived they started investigating the area in order to find the shooter. The school was put under lockdown and the students were moved to a safer pace along with the staff. As the police arrived there were a heavy patrol and police officers were seen in front of the school and the whole building was empty. After a thorough search, police came to the conclusion that there was no shooting taking place in the school in that the shooting news was just a hoax or it might be a misunderstanding by someone. As the shooting news spread rapidly, parents gathered at the place without even getting informed and the police were stopping them from entering the place.
Lockdown Imposed In Thomas Jefferson High School
A heavy patrol was seen in front of the school and after the school is said to be clean and in no danger, the school was removed from lockdown, and the parents were allowed to take away their children from the area in front of the school. Police have revealed that they were escorted to the school after they got a call about an active shooter from Thomas Jefferson School around 1 m on Tuesday but there is no danger as there was nothing or no one suspected to carry out shooting there. Also, there is no evidence of an earlier shooting there, which suggests that the shooting news might have been a hoax or just a call dialled in a hurry.
Who Is The Active Shooter?
After investigations were complete the school released a statement in which they said that each and every student and staff members are important to them and they are trying their best to keep them away from any sort of shooting. The shooting brought the school under lockdown but soon it was lifted. They also said after investigations there was no evidence of a shooting found inside or outside the school after which they were free to go. The school authorities added that the police have taken all the safety measures and protocols have been followed up and there was no shooing or active shooter at the school hopefully. They lastly added that they are thankful for the safety of children as many of the staff are parents themselves.
