At present, Robert Anderson Middle in Anderson received the call related to an active gunman on Wednesday, 5th October 2022. After that, city police, Anderson County Emergency workers, county Emergency Management and the office of the sheriff works at the scene, and the area targeted in the wrong call about an active shooting happened at Robert Anderson Middle School which is located in Anderson, S.C. After getting the information about the shooting the parents instantly appeared at the school to pick up their kids, which caused a lot of traffic jams in front of the educational institution. The road of Dobbins Bridge was also blocked due to many cars as the panicked parents want to see their children safe.

The police and FBI are investigating the matter and tracing the location from where the call came. Federal and state agents are probing after wrong and fake calls about active gunmen were reported at more than 12-13 schools throughout South Carolina on the morning of Wednesday. It can’t be a coincidence the calls came on the same day and probers believe that the calls may be coming from someone in another nation. The Police Department of Greenville stated a wrong shooting was stated at Greenville High School but an officer of school resources was present on the scene and he reported that no injured person and any kind of activity connected to the shooting is not found.

Cops responded to the educational institution and asserted that there was no open firing after checking the school building. Even after the calls were fake but the police and school put the school on lockdown for the safety of faculty as well as students and takes this matter seriously without delay they instantly appeared at the school. Tim Waller, the spokesperson of the district stated that “While today’s menace was a prank, the schools of Greenville County take any and all the complaints seriously and instantly respond”.
