Who Was Shirley Ann Nelson?
Shirley in 1995, when she was 65 years old killed her husband and it was seen that her husband was cheating on her. Shirley on the 5th of July 1995 entered her husband Ronald Nelson’s office in California and she open fired on him. Ronald used to work at the Peanuts headquarters and it was been revealed by the crime series that a day before the crime was committed, Ronald confessed to his wife Shirley that he likes one of his office employees and that he was leaving Shirley to get married to her. Shirley at the time when she committed the crime was 65 years old and she was a decade older than her husband. Ronald revealed that he liked someone who was another Peanuts employee.

The crime series reported that at the time when Shirley came to know about the affairs, she got angry and in 1995 Ronald started his affair with Eileen his colleague. When Shirley learned about it she did not believe what she heard and eventually the two of them had a long fight on this topic. Ronald left Shirley and he moved out of his house after the fight. After that, Shirley planned the whole murder for over a week and finally took the step. On the morning of the murder around, 11 am, Shirley entered the peanuts office with a loaded gun. She pointed the gun at her husband and said that he ruined his life and she shot Ronald twice in his chest.

Shirley dragged Ronald out of the office by firing at him and at last, she shot at herself when the police arrived they transferred both of them to the hospital. While Shirley recovered quickly, it took some time for her husband to recover quickly but he recovered fully after weeks of treatments. Shirley was not given any strict punishment but rather was given psychiatric treatments and her appeal was ejected. Shirley was jailed and was revoked by judges citing concerns for Elien and Ronald’s safety. Shirley developed cancer in 2008 and she passed away at the age of 2008 at the Santa Rosa Memorial hospital. She was 78 years old at the time of her death.
