Rochester NYC Shooting Incident
After the investigation was complete, Rochester Police Department officers confirmed that there was no injury, no threat, and no active shooter at the school as of now. And then there is no active shooter or shooting which was detected by the police, which means that the call was just a hoax call. Police revealed that the call was received at around 10:06 am in morning and the number was an internet-based number but the voice was real indeed. Although the call which came on Wednesday about the shooting was not from the area where the school was built, the police are investigating to know who called them. Chief Franklin said that even though the call was a hoax, they now have the experience to respond in a quick manner.
What Happened At Lourdes High School Today?
There was a huge patrol and police vehicles seen at the school when the investigations were ongoing and RPS and Olmsted County Sherriff officers as well were at the scene for the recuse. As the shooting was reported and the police gathered at the place, the students were quickly transferred to the auditorium and the police searched each and every corner of the building and then investigations were complete. As the investigations were complete the police released the students and issued safety signals. President Annemarie Vega of the Rochester Catholics schools has said that even though the call was fake, the police have responded the way they have to respond.
No Active Shooter Found In Lourdes High School Today
Though the shooting was fake the students were kept unaware of it and they were not informed about the shooting until the investigations were complete so as to keep them away from the matter of the shooting. Local authorities are working their way to file a report against the person who gave out false information as it created disruption. Even at the Mayo School of Rochester, there was a shooting said to have been reported but the case was the same as the earlier one and there was no shooting or any threat to the students which police later clarified the area. Mayo school was under lockdown until the investigations were complete and they lifted the lockdown after everything was reported to be safe.
