When the club announced the demise of Manuel they released a statement in which they specified that they are really sorry for the death of Manuel Manos Gonzalo. They added that Manuel was the holder of FC Barcelona membership number 1, and he was 101 years old at the time of his death. The club members added that Manuel was a member of the club since the 5th of September, 1932 and they sent heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Manuel. They prayed for the soul of Manuel and added rest in peace Manuel at the end of their statement. As sources revealed Manuel was the eldest person responsible for the major changes and the votes in the club amongst the other 140,000 members of the socio.
