Authorities claimed that the accused killed, murdered, and raped the victim and buried her in the woods. The case came to light when the remains of Brittanee in Georgetown County, 35 miles away from where she disappeared. The investigations were not said out loud, until and unless the culprit was found and was arrested on Monday. Raymond Douglas Moody was the one who was accused of the murder of Brittanee. The accused was a sex offender and had a history of these crimes. As said by Sheriff weaver, Moody was an extensive sex offender. He was registered in 1983, California for Sodomy by force of someone under 14, for kidnapping. The body was found after 13 years and the identification was helped by DNA testing that confirmed that the remains obtained were of the girl that disappeared 13 years apart. Brittanee’s parents used to visit the beach in her memory, but this week was special as many people joined the beach and a march was held for Brittanee, many reporters and other civilians as well attended the beach.
