Bernadette was last seen alive when she had gone to the abandoned Kinnitty Castle on the date of October 16th. Her car was later found abandoned on the roadside in an area close to Crinkle Cut Wood. The body of a woman who was found dead on the banks of the River Liffey in Dublin earlier this month has been formally identified as missing mother-of-three Bernadette Connolly. Ms. Connolly, missing since the early hours of Friday, June 21, was found dead on Wednesday, June 26 in bushes on the Mobhi Road Bridge. The body was discovered by a passerby having been washed up from the nearby weir. On Monday Mr. Connolly, at his home on Shancastle Estate in Ballyfermot said that he and his family were “absolutely devastated” by Bernadette’s death.
