Memphis Mass Shooting Incident
CJ Davis the Chief of the Police of Memphis and other investigating officers spoke in the morning of Thursday, 8th September 2022 about the accurate events of the night of Wednesday. Chief Davis informed the journalists that the suspect whose name is Kelly caused around 8-9 crime scenes and he assassinated 4 individuals and wounded 3 more. At present, it is not known what charges were made on them. Around 09:56 PM, the police of Memphis assert that the suspect was linked to the shooting of the afternoon of Wednesday at an AutoZone on Jackson close to Wells.
Who Is The Suspect?
The records of the court view that Ezekiel Kelly, 19 years old was charged with 1st-degree attempted killing because of an incident that had happened on 3rd February 2020. Apart from this, he was also charged with the employment of a firearm and aggravated attack with the help of a deadly and dangerous weapon. Before the suspect was not captured the police ordered people to be at their houses and asked them to come out and even the public bus services were also suspended.

As per the police of Memphis, the shelter-in-place order for the city of Memphis has been lifted now as the suspect has been detained. He was captured wrecking close to Ivan Road and then Hodges Road. As per the Office of the DeSoto County Sheriff, the suspect stole a car in Southaven and broke into Whitehaven close to Ivan Road and then Hodge Road. Kelly was trapped in the automobile around 09:15 PM and several cars and law enforcement agencies are present in the area. After the arrest of Kelly, the citizen gets some relief and resume their daily routine and with the arrest, the terror of losing the lives of people get some relief.
